What are Interface Themes?

Interface Themes are a collection of files that determine the look and feel of the Pivot Administration Interface. Interface Themes consist of images, CSS and a ###.inc.php file to tie them all together.

Can I make an Interface Theme?

YES! Anyone can make a Pivot Interface Theme! (well, almost anyone...)

It doesn't work.. I need help!

If you're building your own Interface Theme and run into a problem head over to the Templates and Layout section of the Pivot Support Forum. Posting your questions there is the way to get answers most quickly.

Kevin Wetzels has written a post containing some very helpful information to help you create your own themes. We suggest you read his suggestions as they will most certainly get you headed in the right direction!

Are there any guidelines?

Interface Themes submitted to Pivot Styles should 'try' to abide by the following guidelines:

Interface Themes submitted without a GPL license or Creative Commons license statement in the readme.txt file will not be accepted. Submissions that are not complete or are not fully functional will be discarded and the submitter informed, so that changes can be made and the Interface Theme re-submitted. Accepted submissions will be posted to the Pivot Styles website as soon as possible.

Where do I send my Interface Theme?

Email completed Interface Themes to admin@pivotstyles.net. Once they are received they will be tested and if they work they will be posted to the Interface Theme section as soon as we can. If we test a theme and it does not work, (when setup as directed in the readme.txt file), the submitter will be notified by email. Interface Themes will only be added to the Interface Theme section if they 'work'. Pivot Styles reserves the right to refuse any Interface Theme at its sole discretion.
