How to Install

Installing this template should be easy. It follows the same weblog structure as a default Pivot install with a normal category and a linkdump category. The only 'special' action is editing the switcher.js file.

Unzip in your pivot/templates directory. Comments should NOT be openened in a popup, you can change this on the last(third) page of the weblog configuration.

Edit switcher.js and change this line:

var TEMPLATEDIR = "/slickdemo/pivot/templates/"; // path to pivot template dir

Set this to the URL path (NOT the server path) to your templates directory. An example: Suppose your site is: http://www.coolsite.com/blog/

The correct line would be:

var TEMPLATEDIR = "/blog/pivot/templates/";

If your pivot dir is called something else than 'pivot' you have to change that accordingly as well of course.

You can also change the default theme from 'graphite' into something else. Options are: graphite, grey, purple, orange, green and yellow.

Configure your templates as follows on the first page of Weblogs config in the admin panel.

• Frontpage Template: frontpage_template.html
• Archivepage Template: archivepage_template.html
• Entrypage Template: entrypage_template.html
• Extra Template: extra_template.html

The template has two types of blog entries, small (right column) for linkdump and large (main column) for longer posts. Configure what to post where on the second page of Weblogs config in the admin panel.

Finally on the third page of Weblogs config, set 'Format of Comments' as detailed in readme.txt included with the template download.
